Short description of the course
The goals of this seminar are (a) to discuss theory/research design fit, the role of theory on your research strategy and how to make a theoretical contribution, and (b) to develop a clear appreciation of how to achieve coherence among three domains of high quality research (substantive, theoretical and methodological domains). We will draw methodological guidelines and criteria for doing, publishing and evaluating qualitative research and conclude with elements to be considered in publishing qualitative research in international journals. An important part of the seminary will be committed with the understanding in practice of how to apply different qualitative methods of data collection and analysis.
